"I will want to review the specifics of the directive," t'Llhweiir replied. "A
question. If the directive was to be carried out within weeks, why give Second
Fleet a much shorter timeframe? Would you be available to address the matter
should they fail?"
"The Second Fleet is Starfleet's worst, and they need cleaning up now. Their entire
command structure is filled with complainers that would rather blame others and
complain how they have gotten a raw deal than take the problem and deal with it.
Starfleet can ill afford to cauddle nor tolerate such laziness and incompetance. They
will be used to make an example for the rest of Starfleet. They must either perform
or be replaced. I intend on giving them every opportunity to suceed or fail. The
choice with be theirs. This exercise with the Second Fleet will show everyone in the
Fleet that SF Command is here to help them in any way we can. All they must do is
step up. It will also show that we have expectations, and they will be met. One way
or another." She couldn't tell if Lasiter wanted the man to fail or not. However, he
did seem genuine about giving all the help he could.
