t'llhweiir studied his face even as she stood. She was concerned about whether
he had gotten any rest the previous night. "Good morning, Sir," she said, more
formally in the presence of the younger officers.
"Good morning. I see that Garibaldi and Roeder are here. While they are setting up,
come out here and have a coffee with me."

They took a table off to the side where they could talk a bit before things started in
the meeting.
"Thank you for taking on the job of my chief of staff. I know that you would rather
not have that role. As soon as things settle down a bit we will start the process of
selecting a permenant replacement. " Lasiter sounded tired. Both emotionally and
physically. He could run like this for a few more days, but no longer.
