"I want to start by thanking you all for coming to help us out.  The station will be completely at your  disposal as will its staff.  If there is anything that you  need in your investigation, please feel free to contact me, and I  will arrange for it."  The Commander was leading them down the hallway.  "This is the residential wing.  You have all been provided quarters and will be able to roam freely about the  station."

"Do you have non standard Fleet quarters? I need something a bit roomier than the norm." said Knucklebiter, pulling himself up to his full 3.3 meters in height, and bumping his head n the ceiling in the process.

The Betazoid nodded.  "Fear not, Mr. Knucklebiter.  We were given a list of who was coming by Spacedock.  We have converted one of our  storage rooms into quarters for you.  The room is quite a bit larger than  what we usually have to offer visitors."

"Ahh, Paradise awaits," he said semi-sarcasticlly, knowing he would not sleep well in a room that probably reeked of solvents and who knew what that had been stored there.

Lt Knucklebiter hunkered back down some, and when He was assured no one was looking or close by, leaned down further and whispered to Aravis on his arm, "Are you familiar with the Old Earth concept of 'on a bearskin rug'?" grinning widely.

Aravis glared at the ursoid.  She was not sure if he was harassing her or trying to be nice, but she definitely didn't like what the comment was hinting at.  It took everything in her power not to slug him.  She might be smaller and less physically strong than he was, but she was not one to put up with that kind of comment.  "I hope you aren't implying that I should rip your skin and fir off, Lieutenant, because if you don't clarify yourself, I might just have to." She made sure to tug her arm out of his as she took a step back to await his response.
