"I definitely feel the call to work in the field, but I am starting to get
a little older. I am in my upper 40s so I am probably going to be called
on less for those types of assignments. Though, I have to
say settling into a desk job will not be easy."
"I can't imagine it yet," smiled Tr'Lawsh. "A few morrre yearrrs,
maybe, but not now. I get a good mix rrright now, prrressent assssignment
excepted, of courrrsse. But an all desssk job... I'm not surrre I
can handle it. I might actually rrresssign and go back to the family
bussinesss, then."
"Fortunately, it doesn't look like I am chained to the desk. I am
getting assignments, but they are a little closer to home," said Daphne.
"What are your parents like?"
"My parrrentsss arrre jewelerrrss, gem cutterrrsss." She looked at Daphne's face. "I know, it sssoundss like we'rrre rrrich. But itsss actually not asss big of a prrrofit marrrgin as you think. They do okay, but they arrren't upperrr classss. They love what they do, and the money isss jussst a bonusss." "That is definitely true. Not everyone is able to make that distinction. Real happiness comes by doing something you like and being with people you like." (Tr'Lawsh?)
