"That is definitely true.  Not everyone is able to make that
distinction.  Real happiness comes by doing something you like and being
with people you like."

"Which isss why I enjoy my job," she said.  "I like going to worrrk
everrry day.  I hope you can sssay the ssame."

"There is no question that.  I definitely love my work.  I wouldn't have stayed with it otherwise," she replied with a smile.  Daphne truly loved the challenges of her field of work.  She just never know what was going to happen.

After the waitress came and went with their order, she asked, "What did
yourrr parrrentsss want you to be?  A diplomat and a sssingerrr...  Did
they advise you forrr orrr againssst eitherrr?"

"They were typical parents," Daphne replied with a chuckle.  "They would have preferred that I choose a career that put me in less danger.  I think my dad was really hoping that at least one of us would follow him in his diplomatic shoes.  Mom, on the other hand, just wanted us to be happy.  She had had a tough time convincing her parents to let her go into music."

"Overall, I think they are proud of us even if we didn't fit the molds they had planned."
