"So you are suggesting that this is not necessarily the  random act of a
natural creature, but perhaps some sort of weapon?" asked  Aravis.  It was
not so much that it was beyond the realm of  possibilities, but it would be
a rare instance.

"Not necessarily a weapon, but some sort of tool.  Without knowing what
happened to the missing Runabout, we cannot necessarily assume that it was
destroyed."

"That is true," replied Aravis.  "But what are the other possibilities in
this situation."

"Well, it could have been transported, made smaller, shifted in time, or
even phased.  There are a number of options," replied the doctor after a
moment of thought.

Dr. Ingolsdottir had definitley presented Aravis with options that she would
never have considered without them being brought forward, at least not
initially.  All of the options made sense.  Some of them would be harder
than others to prove whether they had happened.  They could only wait for
the time to launch to test them out.

A few moments later, Commander McTiernan arrived in the shuttle bay with Lt Morris to joing the two women from Spacedock.  "My apologies ladies, it took longer to bring Lt Knucklebiter to the medical bay and return with Mr Perry than I thought it would."  He looked over the Runabout and saw that the technicians had already departed.  "I assume that we are ready to go?"
