McTiernan studied the sensor readings some  more before responding.  "The
readings don't match anything in the Starfleet database.  This is a
technology that we have not come across  before.  It might be helpful if we
get a closer look at C-4 and maybe even  of the Red Spot."

Dr. Ingolsdottir agreed, but she was not sure it was something that she
wanted to do.  While she knew it was there job to investigate the unknown,
they still did not have enough evidence to make sure that a repeat of the
earlier incident would not take place.  She glanced towardL Lieutenant Holt
to see what she would decide.

"I am going to take us in.  Let me know immediately if you see any
indication of a rise in radiation or other variation as we approach."
Aravis turned to her station and input the commands to move the Runabout
toward their destination.

The Runabout glided toward the dark spot of Jupiter.  There was little indication of changes as they approached, but the radiation level was starting to rise as they approached.

Hilda turned to the others from her console.  "I am showing a ship coming in fast.  She looks like a Peregrine-class shuttle.  She is heading our way."

The dark spot quickly began to morph.  It was taking on the characteristics that were captured by the missing scientists.
