Sam quickly lifted his hand to repress the smile that was forming. Jaime definitely had spunk. He looked to Chase to see his response.

"Well ... er ... no ... ah ... I don't think so. I just thought that an obvious cover for us would be that we were a couple, but ... ah ... I guess that will not work. I can ... ah ... find out if there are any other rooms available if that would be preferable." Chase was clearly uncomfortable with the hole he had dug himself into.

Sam stood up and quickly made his way to the bathroom. A quiet chuckle could be hear along the way. It easily slid into louder laughter as the door slid shut.

Jaime smiled at the closed door. She looked at Chase. "Sorry about that. I didn't intend to embarrass you."

It was clear that Chase did not want to keep going with that conversation. He opted rather to change the subject. "Are there any other things we should clear up about our plan?"

"Look, I get the impression that Richard didn't give you any more to work with than he did me."

"The more you work with him, the faster you will come to realize that Richard likes to keep things close to the hip. He only gives you the least amount of information you need to complete your assignment." Chase almost felt bad for Jaime. He remembered what it was like when he first started in the cell. It wasn't easy. He still couldn't say that Richard really trusted him. "The good thing is that it gives us a chance to really impress him."
