was
saying it because she meant it or to fill the formality. "Was that a pleasant phrase coming from the grey lips of our dearest of Cardassian friends," said Valtris without any attempt to hide the sarcasm as she approached the group. "I am surprised that you are here, Melora. I would have thought a welcoming party was against your religion." Lasiter cracked a smile at the Klingon's comment. T'Kresh noticed the smiles on the faces of the two humans and had to admit that she too had to repress the urge to laugh. "Greetings, Valtris. It is always good to have your charming personality with us. It tends to lighten the mood." Melora just sneered at her rival. There was rarely any love lost
between the two of them. She would have been happy if the Klingon woman
fell down a turboshaft.
Rilg quietly shuffled up to join the group. He could sense the
hostility in the air and decided to remain silent for the moment.
Hopefully, General A'amon would board shortly and distract everyone.
