"I am impressed by your selection, Admiral. It is not easy to arrive at some
ingredients for Venasian cuisine.  I am sure we will enjoy the refreshment."
He turned at some new arrivals.  "Yes," he smiled, beckoning them over,
"Allow me to introduce to you some members of my staff.  This is Torell
Janaki, Head Secretary."

Torell was a typical Venasian male  - slender, pale, with gold-flecked blue
eyes and vestigial webbing.  While Venasians would tell others that there
were definite distinguishable differences between members of the different
families, about the only thing which set Torell apart from others was his
Secretary's uniform.  He came forward and gave a crisp tilt of his head, but
otherwise said little.

"This is General Darena T'landran, Fleetmaster."

A Venasian woman with a severe almost-Vulcan hairstyle came forward.
"Admiral," she said with brisk efficiency, "It is an honor to meet you."
The Ferengi Grand Proxy had hung back while everyone was speaking.  He was not overly comfortable with large groups of people.  He had a feeling that most of his colleagues did not see him as measuring up.  He was intrigued by the Venasians.  They always seemed a bit mysterious to him and they were becoming even more so as he met more of them.
