>Stark glanced around the cabin at those providing him with transport. He had
>no doubt that they were a bit incredulous at what he was saying. "It was not
>so much a direct threat, but one that has become obvious with the way thngs
>are going out here."

>Joanna had been able to read Stark's emotional state easily.  It was clear
>that he was agitated about the situation.  He truly wanted to help, but he
>did fear for his career and even his life as he said.  Joanna eyed her male
>partners and nodded.  He was trustworthy.  "Colonel, you must realize that
>the only way the situation is going to improve out here is we are able to
>expose the whole thing.  That would be made a lot easier if you were to
>share with us what you know.  You can trust us.  We will be delicate."

David was ready to explode--Van Der Loo was cutting them off at the knees.
He stood and paced a little bit then he got down to basics. He knelt down in
front of Stark, "Colonel-in no way do I or anyone blame you for anything
that happened to me. Furthemore as JAG Chief I will use my contacts and all
my influence to protect you, but we need you. We need this information...if
we don't find a way to expose this, people will die to save the secret. I
cannot let this happen..." he pointed to his companions, "We cannot let this
happen."

The Colonel let out a deep breath and stood up.  He walked around the room.  It did not take an empath's touch to sense that he was stressed out by the situation.  He paced the room while the others watched.

Stark found his way back to his chair and plopped back down before looking toward David.  "You are right.  As much as I am concerned about things, someone has to do something.  How can I help."
