>He stood and paced a little bit then he got down to basics. He knelt down in
>front of Stark, "Colonel-in no way do I or anyone blame you for anything
>that happened to me. Furthemore as JAG Chief I will use my contacts and all
>my influence to protect you, but we need you. We need this information...if
>we don't find a way to expose this, people will die to save the secret. I
>cannot let this happen..." he pointed to his companions, "We cannot let this
>happen."
>The Colonel let out a deep breath and stood up. He walked around the room. It did not take an empath's >touch to sense that he was stressed out by the situation. He paced the room while the others watched.
David just watched.
>Stark found his way back to his chair and plopped back down before looking toward David. "You are right. >As much as I am concerned about things, someone has to do something. How can I help."
David could've cried-this was a major step. He turned to Jackson, "Admiral..its your call now. We could transfer Stark to Spacedock under your authority?"
Jared was not sure he was able to make the jump to a full transfer. For one thing, he thought it could make things more difficult with Van Der Loo who already seemed to be doing everything in his power to make the investigation difficult. Secondly, he likely did not have the authority to do such a transfer. From what he knew, the Colonel had no specialty in justice so placing him under the command of Stark would look awkward. Also, Stark could be more helpful in getting information for them where he was currently.
"I am not sure that would be our best option at this point. It might be better to hear what he can help us out with, informationwise before we make any decisions about the future."
