David sat back in a chair, "Ok Colonel, if I may, what do you know of
regarding my previous...visit?"

"Well, I know all about your capture and being freed, but I am not sure what
happened when you returned to Van Der Loo's station.  You were in pretty bad
shape when we found you and helped you get out of the prison you were being
held in."  The Colonel had to wonder if he was so injured that he had
forgotten that it >was Stark that had freed him.

David winced slightly, but visibly at the thought but shook it off and
maintained his focus. "I am appreciative to you Colonel. I believe I owe
you...my life." He looked square at him man-to-man for a moment before
clearing his voice and continuing, "At that time you said you had further
information for me about Van Der Loo's control of the area and his possible
involvement with the rebel forces?"

The Colonel shook his head and raised his hands.   "You misunderstand me,
Captain.   I did not believe that you owe me for anything, sir.   I just
meant that was all that I knew specifically about what happened to you."

The room was aswirl with emotion as the various men recalled what had
happened earlier and the situation with Van der Loo as it stood.  "What can
you tell us about Starfleet's involvement.  Does there seem to be anyone
specifically involved ... say, Admiral Vand Der Loo"

"As for Admiral Van Der Loo, I have been seeing some trends that I think
indicates that the Admiral is in collusion with the rebel forces.   In a
way, it almost seems as if there is some coordination ... or divvying up of
land that is under control of each.   It is like the old European empire
builders carving up the globe for control."

Joanna could not believe what she was hearing.  Van Der Loo seemed to be
doing everything here that he was sent here to stop.  How was that?  "Have
you heard of similar attacks on the planet ... similar to what Captain
Boulay experienced?"

Stark nodded his head.  "The Captain's experiences are not all that unique, I am sorry to say.  His just stood out more because of who he was and his connections to the outside."
