I've tried it with a test 7.3 box with no problems.

*Really*?!?

You would think they'd be trumpeting this. Half of the (informed) complaints I've heard are about the "fact" that you can't take an existing RHL system and upgrade it to RHEL. As far as anyone can see - and that includes checking out the migration page on redhat.com - unless you're upgrading to Fedora Core, you have to start with a fresh installation anyway. And if you have to reinstall anyway, you're more likely to try some other distribution.

I'm going to have to try this. I've got a set of ISOs for WBEL, so if it has the same hidden feature I can try it out on some test boxes here.

Not that this is a recommended way of doing this though. :)

Naturally!

I wonder if there's a list somewhere of hidden anaconda options....

Someone over on the ClamAV list mentioned getting some RHL boxes upgraded to Lineox, and people have apparently managed to upgrade RHL to Tao Linux (another RHEL clone) using yum ( http://taolinux.org/?q=node/view/23 )

And while we're on the subject of RHEL clones, someone else on clamav-users posted this handy list:
