Experience with Red Hat since 5.0 days has provided me with a very
strong hint that you need to install fresh rather than attempt to
update. Configuration files change enough that you get lots of obvious
and many obscure problems that take longer to sort out than if you
go after them methodically one configuration file at a time using
the old ones as references.
