Hi, At this point we have no plans on creating something that will sync Outlook directly with Google. I'm sorry I don't have a better answer for you.
You don't have to setup iCloud to sync calendars. If you're simply wanting to sync Outlook with Google, you can still do that going through iCal without using iCloud. You should be able to setup Outlook to sync with iCal, then Spanning Sync will sync those calendars (in iCal) with Google.
