Ah, pity. Hmm, my only other suggestion is to try running msconvert within
a cmd.exe window to see if running it there yields any different behavior
than through the GUI. If it works on the command line, then it seems it
must be an issue with the account that runs the Apache service. If it
doesn’t work on the command line, then you probably need to keep fiddling
with the regional settings until it works.

process

Hi Eric,

Thanks a lot for the answer but I work as an Administrator on my computer
with no other user account (I deleted all in order to see).
I hope the solution will come ASAP.

Thanks again anyway.

Hi Fred, have you changed the settings for the Administrator account? A
common scenario is that a named user changes the regional settings, but
this does not fix the problem, because the web server (Apache) that
supports the graphical user interface starts when the machine starts
running as “Administrator”, not **your** account. If this is the case, then
you need to log in as the username “Administrator” and adjust the regional
settings for **that** account. Then you can log out and log back in as your
username and things will work. The reality is that when you launch any job
through the web graphical user interface, it runs as the web server account
(usually Administrator but not always), not under your account. This
usually does not cause problems, but sometimes can. Such as this.

If you’ve already tried this, then I am out of ideas.

Regards,

Eric

process

Hi,

Here is the message at the end of the conversion process on the .raw file
downloading from the TPP-Demo folder:

[RawFile::ctor] Reading Thermo RAW files requires the decimal
separator to be '.' - adjust regional/language settings in the Control
Panel. Error processing file
c:/Inetpub/wwwroot/ISB/data/TPP_Demo2009/Tandem/OR20080317_S_SILAC-LH_1-1_01.raw

I know that it's not a new issue but after trying all the tricks given
on the same subjet in the spctools-discuss (changing the regional
settings, dowloading a new version of pwiz or MS File Reader (2.2)),
it's still the same thing.

Does someone have an idea to fix it ?

Thanks in advance

Fred
