I tried this as well a few weeks ago with several human libraries, and ran in the same issue. I assumed it was a windows memory issue, the NIST human libraries are over 2GB. This is a known issue listed in the TPP4.7.1 release notes <http://tools.proteomecenter.org/wiki/index.php?title=TPP:4.7.1_Release_Notes>. I have not tried it on linux though.
