Hi Tom, Good afternoon. How are you? You can't seem to shake me. No matter what organization I go to we seem to have a Content Management Solution.
It is ColdFusion MX based, we took the finer aspects of Spectra and incorporated them in while leaving out some of the unpopular and complex aspects of Spectra. Coincidentally one of your neighbors in Birmingham is using our solution for their website, it has not launched but it should any day now. Other Spectra customers and clients have contacted us to evaluate our solution for the CMS needs and all have been pleasantly impressed with what we have to offer. Please let me know if you want to find out more or are interested in a no obligation cyber presentation. Respectfully, Todd S. I was surprised by the relative lack of response in regard to Tim Buntel's announcement of Spectra going open source. It was what I'd hoped for as a "final" fate for the product. However, I will admit my own company will not use a product that is not supported by a vendor. So that has eliminated Spectra as a long-term option (at least in my day job). I'm interested to see what any of us remnant Spectra developers will do now. I would expect there is potential for Spectra to grow if it still has its good points. What from Spectra do you plan to or consider worth carrying on? Anything?
