Checking further, I got to following messages from /var/log/syslog:

main: error loading '/lib/firmware/speedtch-1.bin.4.00´ for device
´/class/firmware/4-1:1.0' with driver 'speedtch'

main: error loading '/lib/firmware/speedtch-1.bin.4´ for device
´/class/firmware/4-1:1.0' with driver 'speedtch'

main: error loading '/lib/firmware/speedtch-2.bin.4.00´ for device
´/class/firmware/4-1:1.0' with driver 'speedtch'

main: error loading '/lib/firmware/speedtch-2.bin.4´ for device
´/class/firmware/4-1:1.0' with driver 'speedtch'

I´ve tried with both versions of the firmware .. any suggestions on what
route to take would be appreciated ..

Giovanni
