"-i thought shaving the head was bad news on a staturn, something about
the tr-way balance.." -

No, Shaving a Saturn head isnt bad on a saturn like many thought, if it's
done within a reasonable amount. I dont recomend going more than fifteen
thousandths on a head.

"5 degree angle? isn't that goning to be way to much?"-

Its not the degrees, its the amount of cuts. A 3angle valve jobs is cut at 3
different angles, a 5angle has 5 cuts. 5 cuts is totally rediculous,
especially at the size of our valves being so tiny. The best option you can
choose is to go to your local machine shop, and tell them you want an
aggressive cut 3 angle valve job. There are certain limits a machine shop
has to stick to.

"sounds like a motor of these sorts would be all high end power and
nothing on the lowend."

- Absolutely not, shaving the head, raises compression which in turn will
make both more horsepower and torque. When port and polishing a head, you
are always going to lose some low end, there is no way around that. But with
very careful port and polishing you can minimize low end loss and still
create good top end horsepower. You have to first determine what your goal
is for the motor. Will it be "All Motor", or will it be "Forced Induction"
or "nitrous"? These are all considerations you need to make when building a
motor. So really, you cant just say building a motor a certain way is the
best unless you've built, and carefully planned different situations. Hope
that helps a little.
