are the 96 pistons lighter?  It seems to me that a '99 piston/rod combo
would be the best, as in '99 they were lighter, had a coated skirt, and the
compression ring was moved higher up on the piston and the rod moved up in
the piston (wrist pin location), and the rods are powdered metal.
