Interesting idea... And, in a way, I've already taken two steps toward
that - first, putting SC2 alloy wheels on an SL2, for which that style was
never available (except the 10th anniversary SL2, which I've never seen in
real life). And second, the "shorty" intake I just installed - basically,
the K&N from my old BMW clamped right onto the throttle body. I'm pondering
other mods to go with it that'll help shield it from hot engine bay air and
induce some cowl induction from the backside of the hood. And, of course,
there's the Dynomax muffler just clamped onto the stock exhaust.
The other question is how far I want to go with this. I don't really need
rear discs, nor a ton of power, nor go-kart handling (I have a Miata for
that :) ). But I'm always one to tinker a bit. :)
