I'm sure I missed out on most of the good stuff too. I'm 26 now, and not yet a ham. I've been going to hamfests since as far back as I can remember though, just never had the time to study for, and take the test. I promise I'll do that soon. As far as radios, I really need to get something better, hopefully with digital tuning. I have an old Grundig Traveller II PE that I borrowed from a friend, but I can't tell what frequency I'm even near, so tuning to a specific freq at a specific time is near impossible. It's a little pocket radio with alarm clock, so you can't expect too much from it. I've heard of a few online streaming scanners that pickup all freq's and let you tune in to whatever you want, but I haven't had time to check any of them out. Has anyone else used any of those? If so, could you recommend one?
