Ok from that point of view, I will back-pedal and agree that there is a
correct way and an Incorrect way...the incorrect way being sticking a ladder
on a power pole...and no I don't think tripods are out, but i do believe
that there should be some emphasis on Personal Safety...Tripods do not
belong a couple of feet from the tracks...and when the train is
approaching/going by...neither does the photographer...that's the main
reason I bought a 200mm lens...I think on the Santa Fe list someone posted a
formula for distance you should safely be from the tracks when the train is
passing...
