An earlier post mentions orange safety vests (visi-vests) in the context of shooting near track workers. I haven't done that, but I pack and frequently use a safety vest when shooting from highways and highway bridges. I want the other drivers to see me!
Plus, when combined with a tripod, it "looks" like I'm surveying or something, so I'm less likely to raise suspicion with law enforcement. Picked up my DOT-grade vest at a well stocked hardware store for under $10; I've seen lesser models for $5-6 at WalMart.
