When shooting the UP, E-units going up the Feather River canyon I was across the river from the Railroad in a turn out on the Hwy. A long way from the R.R.tracks when the E units came around the curve and came into view. OUT went the ditch lights! I think they did this purposely as historically the E units did not have ditch lights and they wished to present the train as it looked originally.
