I have a solution to color balance problems that people have been expressing.
You don't even need a filter for your camera to balance the tungsten, strobe,
or non-natural source. Shoot color negatives! [Did I hear half the list
balk?] The problem with slides is that your final image is rendered on the
film. The nice thing about color negatives is that your final image is
rendered on the print, allowing control over the color balance when you dial
in your filter pack. [If you enlarge your own negatives, not at Joe's
uncalibrated One Hour place.] If you're worried about cold light, dial in a
little more magenta, and or a little more yellow. Gone is the cold hue, and
no filter over the camera was needed.
