Astia is a little less contrasty and it allows details in shadows and on
black painted locomotives like NS units to show hood doors better, and the
color palate is a little less saturated, so the film is a little more
neutral.  Very true color representation if you expose it correctly.  About
as neutral as you can get on a slide film these days, without washing out
colors or shifting them.  The blues and reds also seem more actuate to me. 
Provia has a tad more 'punch', but depending on the light you are shooting
in, you may not see the difference.  Especially at the $2+ more a roll for
Astia.  BTW, Astia is a great portrait film.  The best skin tones I've seen
so far on any slide film.  Very accurate.

I will put an Astia/Provia direct comparison on the web site sometime after
next week when I have more time.
