They are both equally sharp under a loupe of the same magnification, but
because you need contrast to make an image 'appear' sharp, they may not
look the same to you.  Astia is not a soft film.

Actually you do want razor sharp images for that (I do that for a living),
and you can use a soft focus filter such as the Hasselblad Softar which
will give you a soft (actually diffused) look, without actually losing
sharpness.
