If that's an issue, you could use a line dryer on the air compressor.
There are ways of getting around the internal moisture issue. It's just
like when you're protecting a freezer and don't want any moisture in the
pipe.
Otherwise, my guess is a good as yours, it would be nice sometimes if
the writers of these "do's and don'ts" would give us a little bit of
"why".
