About 18 years ago, I work on the design of a state prison facility in California. For the first floor cells, the state had us install the fire sprinkler pipe in the second floor slab. I want to say that the piping installed in the slab was the 1" schedule 40 armovers to the pendent at the center of the cell. The main was in a case and sidewall could not be used for some reason. To my knowledge, there has not been a problem with the facility. I work for a different company at that time, so I do not if any problems have occurred since.

Has anyone dealt with this or done it themselves? Good, bad or ugly.
