What material difference would it make? If the base is ESFR you have the pipe size for just about anything. The couple head difference between EH and OH spacing is not big enough to worry about usually. Unless there is some other related matter that you didn't mention just throw the group A at it and move on to something that will make or break the job.

How many batteries are in the location, what size would you consider them to be, auto or truck? Consider that in an automotive store that car batteries are on racks in fairly appreciable quantities and nothing extra ordinary is done to the overhead sprinkler systems in those areas.
