Just as an aside, it still says "fire treated" -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Thom Sent: Friday, April 15, 2011 10:34 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Concealed space with exposed ends of 2x4 or top plate of stud walls exposed
I believe that the ref: to exposed tops of stud relates to Formal Interpretation 80-14, as illustrated in the 1999 handbook ref. to 5-13.1.1. It's been a while but I too remembered something about the exposed tops of studs or top plates exposed in concealed spaces. Just took me a while to find it. _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field) _______________________________________________ Sprinklerforum mailing list [email protected] http://fireball.firesprinkler.org/mailman/listinfo/sprinklerforum For Technical Assistance, send an email to: [email protected] To Unsubscribe, send an email to:[email protected] (Put the word unsubscribe in the subject field)
