I haven't used them either, but I did do some light reading on the topic
recently;
Cons: must be raised (sprig's or candle sticks) above piping 3" and
larger
Pro: eliminate some obstruction rules vs pendent ESFR heads
Customer gains more storage room (sprinkler head in upright
position vs pendent)
