Drains at floor control valves are auxiliary drains regardless of the sign
you put on it. It's purpose is to drain the water beyond the sectional
control valve. If you have a flow switch on each section then you need an
inspectors test port and it needs a sight glass (if discharge cannot be
seen) with an appropriate orifice (k factor) for tresting the flow switch.
A test and drain fitting will properly have two different flow points on
the valve: the first flows water through the orifice and the second fully
opens the valve.
