This is indeed the CURRENT requirement since the main drain is a SYSTEM test. As I stated in an earlier post, we are finally returning to what the main drain test was originally intended to check (that being the condition of the water supply and the underground supply main and whether a valve had dropped (not a problem for the OS&Y or butterfly gate valves). We'll have to wait until the cycle is completed before we can be any more definitive. We can thank Dave Burkhart for pushing this rock up the hill.
