I think if they are recessed heads just use a protective cap and wrap in 
adequate insulation that would protect for the time  frame that the room will 
be heated. Also as far as the cpvc pipe, if its still filled during the hearing 
process to range will result. The water in the pipe will distribute the heat 
applied to it. 

I was told by the rep a few years back that the pipe can actually hold up to 
direct fire exposure for several a minutes. Not sure exactly the time frame but 
it was quite extensive.
