In my experience galvanized pipe used underground is a great method if you're a service company that makes a living doing repair and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems. But if you're interested in maintaining a good customer relationship, it is possibly the worst choice. Cpvc is listed for underground service and is a much better long term option for this application.
