Mark- Thanks for the info. It was actually the GC that recommended we use galvanized pipe "because that's how they always have done it"...... CPVC it is.

But if you're interested in maintaining a good customer relationship, it is possibly the worst choice. Cpvc is listed for underground service and is a much better long term option for this application.
