Would not a "scan playlist only" scan be acceptable ? If you intend to
play it with LMS it must know of the playlist , scan it and add it to
the dB afaik you are not using the actual playlist , but a database view
created from the playlist when using LMS .

Hopefully Michael finds out that I'm wrong :) and some sort of solution
with LMS 7.9 ability to handle temporary files can be used.
Open temporary playlist with the bmf view . Or drag and drop them into
the web UI ? You can now drag and drop files to the web UI for playback
and the will not be added to the dB .
Wonder if you can drop a playlist to the web UI and use the temporary
file handling feature this way ?
