The log just happens to have character sequences (like :-) ) which get
translated automatcally (by browser?) into an associated smiley.

OK log shows resampling will happen to your wav file using flac and
sox.

If transcoding/resampling with socketwrapper is the root cause of the
problem - then you need to prove this by testing with files that do not
need resampling or transcoding (i.e. mp3, wma, flac or wav up to 48kHz).
