OK, it might be a system issue that only affects LMS :-).  LMS gives the
following status info:

I do have occasional connectivity issues as I'm using a router and a VPN
but I've been doing that for months now and LMS has not been adversely
affected by it before.  Firewall-wise I run Norton Internet Security
where LMS and the LMS control panel are both marked as Allow, In/Out,
Any Computer, Any Communications, Any Protocol.

Active 3rd party plugins are:

    
- Image Browser (v1.0)
- Network Test (v1.0)
- Prevent System Standby (v3.0)
- Song Scanner (v2.0)
- UPnP/DNLA Media Interface (v1.0)
- 
  

Is there anything I should switch on in the logging settings to obtain
useful information?
