Gain Reduction:3, Loudness Gain:3, Loudness Reference:60 should, instead, give you a moderate louder sound, it is a very gentle and safe correction. About the tick, are you using single track files, not cue? if so problem cold easily be that you have tags in your files that LMS does not recognize and reproduce as music, so the tick.
