I mean that 400k tracks = a very large library.db and as it’s on an SD
card it’s not going to be as responsive web gui wise as it could be.
In my experience a Pi3 configured as both player and server struggled
with jobs like syncing players. In my case 40k library but via an NFS
Mount to NAS. The player was using the USB port and obviously the NFS
mount was via LAN (100mbps on a Pi3 but 1gbps on a Pi4 where the bus has
been separated).
It may be that with no additional players involved and no sync that your
Pi3 will cope perfectly well but as I asked before how do you back up
400k tracks? With that size library you really would be better off using
piCorePlayer in conjunction with a NAS where you would have Raid 1
redundancy and the ability to simply plug in a USB disk for regular
backup.
