Sounds like you know what you’re doing.
There are other benefits to having your music files on a NAS but for me
the main ones are;
Ability to easily access the files from any PC with any OS on the
network.
Ability to use the same files for more than one instance of LMS - this
is a big plus when you want to commission a new server
Remote Replication to another NAS and backup
Redundancy and ability to increase storage without taking the system
offline / re copying files
