Yes, I have come to the same conclusion - it is likely a very recent
change in openSUSE that affects legacy applications that do not include
units for systemd.  I would think LMS would not be the only application
affected by such a change, so there should be some discussion about it
in other fora - I'll look into it.  Thanks!
