I can confirm that version Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.0 - 1605892076 @ Fri Nov 20 21:27:07 CET 2020 works in Ubuntu 20.04 (focal) (FWIW - Ubuntu is running as a VM with music files on a Freenas box) with SSH, I did an in place upgrade from 16.04 -> 18.04 Then I did same for an upgrade to 20.04.. after reboot, went to /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache and did a wget wget http://downloads.slimdevices.com/LogitechMediaServer_v8.0.0/logitechmediaserver_8.0.0_amd64.deb Finally using duo remote I did factory restore, setup wireless and voila ! Shortcuts etc still there ..
