LMS finds the Flac frame which corresponds to the track start time
according to Cue sheet and and then sends the Flac bit stream for the
track (from start time to end time) unchanged from the file to the
player. LMS does not decode Flac for the player except when transcoding
where it is done by external applications.

The player decoder hasn't changed between 7.9.* and 8.*

If the Flac has to be resampled for the player (e.g. 192Khz file to be
played on SB3) - the Flac and sox utilties' Flac decoding also has not
changed between 7.9.* and 8.*.

IIRC There are users of DTS stream encoded in Flac which means they are
only playable if the bitstream is unmodified from file to player (for
these users volume has to be fixed at 100%). None of these users have
complained about 8.* - so bitstream is identical between 7.9.* & 8.* .
