No I did not uninstall and then reinstall a new copy of LMS8.2.0. That
would take much too much time and effort. Doing a backup restore only
takes about 10 minutes. And regular backups only take about 15 minutes
which is why I do regular backups every week or so. Just start the
backup and go to sleep with a backup done when I get up!

Interesting that you mention that the newer versions should work if
8.2.0 is working. I thought that I had tried more than once to update to
the newer versions and had the same problems each time. Might the
problem be that I simply install new updates directly over existing
installs rather than uninstalling/reinstalling updated versions? I have
had no previous problems doing it that way. Tomorrow I will try updating
my LMS8.2.0 again by installing a new version over the currently
installed 8.2.0 to see what happens. If it does not work I will download
a copy of the server.log from the "bad" install before I do another
restore to get back 8.2.0.

I will let you know what happens!

Thanks again,
